Redemption and disposal of batteries

The Akku Gesellschaft mbH is constitutionally connected to a disposal free system which accepts the redemption of batteries for the Akku Gesellschaft mbH. (5ff.BattG)

Information for the End consumer

• The End consumer is legally obliged to the return of used batteries so that a professional disposal can be ensured.
• According to the "Regulation on the collection and disposal of batteries and battery" Battery may be disposed of with normal household waste under any circumstances. Batteries are marked with the symbol of a crossed-out wheelie bin and the following symbols:
  • Pb = Battery contains more than 0.004 percent lead
  • Cd = Battery contains more than 0.002 percent cadmium
  • Hg = Battery contains more than 0.0005 percent mercury

Unpaid redemption of batteries

• Also we are obliged as a distributor by batteries for the taking back of old batteries. You can give off old batteries any time free of charge to us.
• There is also the possibility of free disposal of used batteries in collective container a public collection, such as a of the local authority of the communes.

Mandatory deposit for vehicle batteries (§ 10 BattG)

This Act and this paragraph is only valid in Germany.
